‘Winning Time’ Season 2 Teaser Trailer Sets HBO Return Date

HBO published the first winning time Teaser trailer for the second season of the upcoming return of Adam McKay’s sports comedy. The next installment in the Los Angeles Lakers saga is scheduled to air August 6 on HBO and stream on Max.

The video sheds light on the continued rise of the Los Angeles Lakers and their increasing influence in the NBA. It also details the ins and outs of Magic Johnson’s fast-paced career and his ongoing rivalry with Larry Bird.

What is Winning Time about?

“A fast-break series about the professional and personal lives of the 1980’s Los Angeles Lakers, one of the sport’s most respected and dominant dynasties – a team that defined an era, both on and off the field.” in the log line.

Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty is written and co-created by Max Borenstein and Jim Hecht, who also serve as executive producers. The story is based on Jeff Pearlman’s book Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty of the 1980s.

The sports drama stars John C.
