What do we know about guns?

Plot details and Renate Reinsve’s character are being kept secret. However, the report describes Weapons as “an interconnected, multi-story horror epic that’s phonetically in the vein of Magnolia, filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson’s 1999 actor-packed showcase.”

Weapons is Cregger’s first project following the success of Barbarian, his 2022 horror breakout hit. Produced at an estimated $4.5 million, Barbarian grossed over $45 million and was critically acclaimed to great praise.

Weapons will be written and directed by Cregger, who will also produce alongside Vertigo’s Roy Lee and JD Lifshitz, BoulderLight Pictures’ Raphael Margules and Vertigo’s Miri Yoon. New Line won the project in a bidding war reportedly in excess of eight figures. The film will also get an exclusive theatrical run.

Pascal recently attended the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of Pedro Almodóvar’s short film Strange Way of Life. Pascal stars in the short film alongside Ethan Hawke (“The Black Phone”). The Mandalorian star is also gearing up to produce Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated sequel, Gladiator, with Normal People’s Paul Mescal.
