Arnheid goes to the retainers’ quarters to tend Gardar’s wounds. Snake tells Arnheid that she cannot see Gardar and leaves her with one of his men to retrieve her. However, Arnheid begs the man and he lets her see him. Gardar apologizes to Arnheid and she starts crying and apologizing. One of the men tells Arnheid she must go, but Gardar bites his throat, killing him. He then tells Arnheid to cut the ropes. Snake and the others go in search of them and are ready to kill Gardar.
