During the last episode of Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum PodcastJames Gunn has finally given an update on this peacemaker Season 2, which confirms that despite its busy schedule, the project continues to move forward with directing Superman: Legacy. Gunn announced that the John Cena-led DC series would be his next project after the upcoming Superman movie.
“Peacemaker comes right back after Superman. That’s my next thing.” Gunn called. The filmmaker also shared that he plans to shift his focus to the Amanda Waller-centric series after he wraps Peacemaker season two.

Season 1 of Peacemaker starred John Cena as Peacemaker, Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase/Vigilante, Steve Agee as John Economos, Chukwudi Iwuji as Murn, Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith/White Dragon and… to see more. It’s unclear which characters will be returning in the next installment, but Gunn has previously hinted that following the surprise appearances of Ezra Miller and Jason Momoa in the season one finale, he plans to continue making DC connections in the next chapter.
