The last of us is getting the haunted house treatment as Universal Studios announced Thursday that it will be adding the franchise to its Halloween Horror Nights event.
When does The Last of Us haunted house begin?
The Last of Us haunted house will arrive at Universal Orlando Resort for Halloween Horror Nights beginning Friday, September 7, 2023. It will also be released at Universal Studios Hollywood.
The haunted house allows participants to follow in the footsteps of Joel and Ellie. You’ll encounter a variety of different enemies, including runners, stalkers, clickers, and the Hunters, a group of hostile humans.
The haunted house will feature a number of iconic locations from the video game, including the Hotel Grand, the Pittsburgh Quarantine Zone and “a maze of dark and dank tunnels,” according to Universal’s announcement.
“As a huge fan – and regular visitor – of Halloween Horror Nights, we’re honored that ‘The Last of Us’ has been included in this year’s programme. For us at Naughty Dog, it’s been an incredible pleasure to work with Universal to bring the world of the game to life while focusing on the smallest details that our fans know so well,” said Neil Druckmann, Co-President of Naughty Dog. “Having just celebrated the 10th anniversary of The Last of Us, it’s the perfect time for our fans to join forces with Joel and Ellie and come face-to-face with Clickers, Raiders and more!”
Haunted House tickets are available now for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood and Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Orlando – along with a variety of vacation packages.
