Trailer for the fourth season of the High School Musical Disney+ show gives a sneak peek at the final season

The official teaser trailer for the upcoming fourth and final season of Disney+ High School Musical: The Musical: The Series was published. It heralds the return of the original film’s cast – including Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman and Lucas Grabeel – when the show airs August 9.

The video shows Ricky, Gina and the rest of the Wildcats preparing for their final stage musical. However, things get hectic when the production of High School Musical 4: The Reunion arrives at East High.

What can you expect from Season 4 of High School Musical?

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is a mockumentary musical youth drama that follows a group of East High students. It stars Joshua Bassett as Ricky, Matt Cornett as EJ, Sofia Wylie as Gina, Julia Lester as Ashlyn, Dara ReneƩ as Kourtney, Frankie Rodriguez as Carlos, Kate Reindeers as Miss Jenn and Liamani Segura as Emmy.

“In season 4, the Wildcats return to East High where they are preparing a stage production of 2008’s High School Musical 3: Senior Year,” reads the log line. “But in a series meta-twist, plans are thwarted when Disney announces that the long-awaited film, High School Musical 4: The Reunion, will be filmed on location at their beloved high school.”

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is executive produced by Tim Federle (Ferdinand) and Oliver Goldstick (Pretty Little Liars), along with the original film’s EPs Bill Borden and Barry Rosenbush.
