The Walking Dead: Dead City trailer released based on the Maggie & Negan spin-off

AMC has released The Walking Dead: Dead City trailer for the upcoming Maggie and Negan spin-off series The Walking Dead. It premieres Sunday, June 18 at 10:00 p.m. ET on AMC and AMC+, with subsequent episodes at 9:00 p.m. ET. The two-minute video features the song “Gimme Danger” sung by Iggy & The Stooges.

“The Walking Dead: Dead City follows beloved characters Maggie (Cohan) and Negan (Morgan) on their journey to a post-apocalyptic Manhattan long since cut off from the mainland,” reads the official description. “The crumbling city is filled with the dead and residents who have made New York City their own world of anarchy, danger, beauty and terror.”

The Walking Dead: Dead City stars Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The spin-off follows the unlikely couple Maggie and Negan as they make their way through a post-apocalyptic Manhattan cut off from the mainland long ago. It comes after the original series wrapped up its 11 seasons with 177 episodes.

The series (formerly called Isle of the Dead) is created and executive produced by Eli Jorné, who also serves as showrunner. Executive producers are Cohan, Morgan and Scott M. Gimple.
