After its series debut last Sunday, HBO dropped a new one the idol Video for the remaining episodes of his latest musical drama starring Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd.
The video shows Jocelyn taking a new direction with her music while Tedros slowly influences her decisions and takes over her career. The next episode, titled “Double Fantasy,” was written and directed by Euphoria’s Sam Levinson and will air on June 11th.

Who is involved in The Idol?
The Idol was co-created by Levinson, The Weeknd and Reza Fahim. This is The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp’s television acting debut and first scripted major drama series. They will be joined by Golden Globe nominee Troye Sivan, Hari Nef, Debby Ryan, Steve Zissis, Rachel Sennott and global K-pop superstar Jennie Ruby Jane from BlackPink. The cast also includes Anne Heche, Melanie Liburd, Tunde Adebimpe, Elizabeth Berkley Lauren, Nico Hiraga and more.
“After a nervous breakdown derailed Jocelyn’s latest tour, she is determined to reclaim her rightful status as America’s biggest, sexiest pop star,” reads the official log line. “Her passions are reignited by Tedros, a nightclub impresario with a sordid past. Will her romantic awakening take her to glorious new heights or to the deepest and darkest depths of her soul?”
“The Idol” was written and produced by Levinson, Tesfaye, Fahim and Joe Epstein. Kevin Turen, Ashley Levinson, Nick Hall, Sara E. White and Aaron Gilbert are executive producers. It is an A24 production.
The series is scheduled to premiere on June 4th.
