Just two weeks before their DC debut, The Lightning‘s Sasha Calle has opened up about her first meeting with Man of Steel star Henry Cavill. The actress revealed that she met the former Superman actor after wrapping up production on the upcoming superhero movie, directed by Ezra Miller.
In conversation with EWCalle expressed how grateful she was for receiving the seal of approval from Cavill, who praised her performance as Supergirl.
“I actually met him months later after the film was finished. I hugged him tightly,” she recalls. “You know, it’s Henry Cavill, man! Our man of steel. He is friendly and very decent and it was a great experience. I asked him, ‘Did I make you proud, ’cause? Does Superman agree?’ And he said, “Absolutely.” “You did a phenomenal job.” I think that meant the world to me because it’s Henry Cavill, Man of Steel.”
What can you expect in the Flash movie?
“Worlds collide in The Flash as Barry uses his superpowers to go back in time and change the events of the past,” reads the synopsis. “But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently changes the future, Barry is thrown into a reality where General Zod has returned and threatens annihilation, and there are no superheroes to turn to.”
The Lightning It will be directed by IT’s Andy Muschietti and written by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey). The film is executive produced by Marianne Jenkins and produced by Michael Disco and Barbara Muschietti.
Ezra Miller returns as Barry Allen, whom you last portrayed in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Miller is joined by Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Maribel VerdĂș as Nora Allen, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, and Ron Livingston as Henry Allen. Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck will reprise their respective versions of Bruce Wayne/Batman for the film.
The Flash is slated to hit theaters on June 16th.
