Ezra Miller stars as Barry Allen/The Flash in the new DC superhero movie. In the film, he teams with an alternate version of himself and an alternate Bruce Wayne/Batman (Michael Keaton) to battle Zod (Michael Shannon) in a time travel adventure.

Some have criticized the visual effects in the film, particularly in the opening sequence where The Flash has to rescue a group of babies who are falling out of a window. “The idea, of course, is… we’re in the perspective of the Flash.” Mussetti told io9 about the scene. “Everything is distorted in terms of light and textures. We enter this “water world” which is essentially from Barry’s perspective. It was part of the design. So if it strikes you as a bit strange, that was intentional.”
