In an interview with The playlistDirector Andy Muschietti has opened up about Ezra Miller’s future as The Flash. Despite recent controversy surrounding Miller, he confirmed there were no plans to replace her should DC Studios give the green light The flash 2.
“I don’t think there’s anyone who can play this character as well as she can,” mussusetti revealed. “The other portrayals of the character are great, but they did an amazing job of getting this particular vision of the character. And like you said, the two Barrys – it feels like a character made for them.”
Over the past year, Miller has been embroiled in several controversies. These included an arrest for second-degree assault and burglary, as well as allegations of running a cult. Finally, they released an apology statement, pledging to “do the work necessary to return to a healthy, safe, and productive stage of life.”
Last February, DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran updated fans on Miller’s current condition, revealing that “they are making tremendous progress in their recovery.”

Ezra Miller returns as Barry Allen, whom you last portrayed in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Miller is joined by Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Maribel VerdĂș as Nora Allen, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, and Ron Livingston as Henry Allen. Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck will reprise their respective versions of Bruce Wayne/Batman for the film.
