“This season, life in Chi swings between the highest highs and the lowest lows,” reads the official synopsis. “Big dreams finally come true, but at a price, and everyone is tested in unimaginable ways as they assess the risks and rewards of their next big move. Emmett and Kiesha’s blissful blended connection is tested by his insatiable urge to expand Smokey’s and a dangerous new partnership, while Kiesha eventually seeks a rewarding new career. Douda deals with the aftermath of Q’s murder and its impact on the shifting loyalties of his inner circle.”
The synopsis continues, “Victor’s bold declaration of love to both his new girlfriend and his beloved community will have an impact on his political ambitions. Happily married Jada mentor Emmett and her best friends as they navigate their relationships. Kevin is emerging as a brilliant master player but struggles with the youthful pitfalls of early independence. Jake starts a new business and Dad falls in love with an older woman while questioning his faith. What becomes of their efforts will be revealed over the course of this season’s 16 breathtaking episodes.”
