The Beanie Bubble photos offer a first look at the main cast, including characters from Banks and Galifianakis. It focuses on the origins of the Beanie Babies stuffed animal line that became popular in the 1990s.

The film is based on Zac Bissonnette’s 2015 novel The Great Beanie Baby Bubble and will be directed by Kristin Gore and Damian Kulash Jr. from a script by Gore. Banks and Galifianakis are joined by Sarah Snook (Succession), Geraldine Viswanathan (Blockers), Kurt Yaeger (Sons of Anarchy), Carl Clemons-Hopkins (Hacks) and Tracy Bonner.
“Why was the world suddenly treating stuffed animals like gold? “Ty Warner was a frustrated toy salesman until his collaborations with three women turned his master stroke of an idea into history’s biggest toy craze,” reads the synopsis. “The Beanie Bubble is an imaginative story about what and who we value, and the unsung heroes whose names weren’t on the heart-shaped label.”
The film is being produced by Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and Karen Lunder, with Galiafinakis and Douglas S. Jones serving as executive producers.
