Sweet Tooth and Anthony Mackie sing “Thong Song” on Twisted Metal clip

A new Twisted metal clip was released during today’s Summer Game Fest presentation and gives viewers a glimpse of the franchise’s iconic character, Sweet Tooth, in live action.

In the new clip, Anthony Mackie’s John Doe confronts Sweet Tooth – physically played by Samoa Joe and voiced by Will Arnett – in a casino. After some argument, the two finally sing “Thong Song” together.

Who does the twisted metal show?

The show is based on a concept created by Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who will serve as executive producers. It will be written by Cobra Kai writer Michael Jonathan Smith, who will also serve as the EP. Additional executive producers include PlayStation Studios’ Hermen Hulst, PlayStation Productions’ Qizilbash and Carter Swan, Inspire Entertainment’s Jason Spire, Electric Avenue’s Will Arnett and Marc Forman, and Artists First’s Peter Principato. Bad Trip’s Kitao Sakurai will also executive produce and direct a number of episodes. Cast so far are Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church, Neve Campbell, Will Arnett and Samoa Joe.

Sony is also said to be developing another twisted metal game, which is expected to be released around the same time as the Peacock series. After reportedly switching developers, the game is said to come from Firesprite, a studio Sony acquired in September 2021. However, this game has yet to be officially revealed.
