Curry hopes fans will learn more from the documentary

In a promotional video for the upcoming film Stephen Curry: Underrated, Curry was asked what he thought audiences would take away from it. According to the superstar, Curry hopes audiences will learn that everyone has something unique to offer the world.

“I hope audiences will be inspired by the understanding that we are all different and unique and that we are all here for a reason,” Curry said. “And when you find whatever that is, embrace it, run your own race, and know you have much to offer the world. Whether you influence one person or a million people, that’s enough.”

“Surrounding yourself with amazing people and knowing that you’re not doing anything big or special in this world alone is the most rewarding feeling,” the athlete continued. “This (…) documentary shows what that means to me, and it’s not just a basketball story. It’s not just a sports story. Hopefully it’s something that resonates in life.”

The documentary comes from A24 and is available now on Apple TV+.

“The remarkable coming-of-age story of Stephen Curry, one of the most influential, dynamic and unexpected players in basketball history, and his rise from undersized college player to four-time NBA champion,” reads the film’s official synopsis.
