When will the Blu-ray and digital releases of Star Trek: Prodigy Season 1 Episodes 11-20 be out?
The final ten episodes of Star Trek: Prodigy are available digitally now at the suggested retail price of $19.99 (HD) and $14.99 (SD). Home video will then be released on September 16 by Paramount Home Entertainment and CBS Home Entertainment. The Blu-ray and DVD versions will retail for $26.99 and $17.99, respectively.
The 2-disc set includes 3 new in-depth featurettes with over 45 minutes of content. In this way, the legacy of Star Trek informs the characters, story, and locations of Prodigy. These include:
- The Odyssey of Prodigy – A recap of the second half of the season with director, producers and cast
- Producing Prodigy: The Planets – Creating the different worlds of Prodigy and how design, music, text and show elements come together to create environments essential to the story.
- Prodigy Producing: The Ships – Evolution of ship design in Star Trek and how its rich legacy influences the design of the USS Protostar and the Borg ship
- 4 Collectible Character Cards (Limited Time Only!) – Featuring: Murf, Jankom-Pog, Zero, and Drednok, plus highlights about the USS Protostar and the Borg, and definitions of Universal Translator and the Neutral Zone.
What is Star Trek: Prodigy Season 1 about?
“As the hopeful crew make their way to Starfleet in the remaining episodes of the first season of Star Trek: Prodigy, their dreams are threatened when they discover the USS Protostar is harboring a weapon designed to tear apart the United Federation of Planets,” reads the synopsis. “To make matters worse, the USS Dauntless is on the hunt for the protostar, while real-life Vice Admiral Janeway is desperate to find out what happened to her missing former first officer, Chakotay. With these two ships on a collision course and destruction looming on the horizon, the fate of the Alpha Quadrant is at stake.”
The animated series was executive produced by Kevin Hageman and Dan Hageman, with Ben Hibon directing and co-executive producing. Star Trek: Prodigy was co-produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio and CBS Eye Animation Productions. Also executive producing are Alex Kurtzman, Heather Kadin, Katie Krentz, Rod Roddenberry, Aaron Baiers and Trevor Roth.
