What dates has Sony set for possible Spider-Man movies?
The report mentions that Sony has set two dates for upcoming films; November 8, 2023 and June 27, 2025. Both films will also have access to IMAX screens, leading fans to speculate that the films could be related to the Spider-Man series, namely the third installment in the Venom series , with the third installment in the Venom series, Spider-Man 4 awaits.
Deadline also mentions that no other high-profile film is currently scheduled for November 8, 2024, potentially paving the way for Sony to dominate with a Spider-Man movie. Universal has an untitled film slated to hit theaters November 1, Warner Bros. has a film set November 15, and Gladiator 2 is slated to premiere November 22.
Spider-Man producers Amy Pascal and Avi Arad have released several Spider-Man updates on upcoming films starring the Marvel character. Pascal was recently asked by diversity about future projects involving Spider-Man and the Spider-Verse. She confirmed that there will be a sequel, but the current writers’ strike has halted development for the time being.
“Are we going to make another film? Of course we are,” confirmed Pascal. “We’re in, but the writers’ strike, nobody works during the strike. We are all supporters and whenever they get together we start.”
The latest Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson. It includes the voices of Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, Jake Johnson as Peter B.
