In a recent interview with Vogue Hong KongWonder Woman star GalGadot has commented on Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation snow white Film teasing her portrayal of the Evil Queen. Gadot shared with us how much she enjoyed filming the upcoming adaptation due to the fairy tale and musical aspects that definitely impact her performance.

“I think it was so much fun playing the evil queen,” Gadot said. “There was something delicious about that part because it’s a fairy tale. It’s the first Disney villain. Being a musical, I was able to expand my performance and make it so much more dramatic and lively that it was just delightful. I’ve enjoyed it, changed my voice and done all these different things. And it was just super fun and I can’t wait to see it.”

Who is involved in the live action film “Snow White”?

Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation of “Snow White” is based on the studio’s first animated classic, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” which launched over 80 years ago and launched Disney’s animation success story. It was also inspired by the 1812 German fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm.

The film is directed by Rachel Zegler (West Side Story, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) in the title role, with Gal Gadot playing the evil queen. They are joined by Andrew Burnap as Jonathan and Martin Klebba as Grumpy. Marc Webb is directing and producing from a screenplay by Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson. The project is expected to expand on the story and music of the original. La La Land and The Greatest Showman duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul are also tasked with writing new songs for the adaptation.

This project joins Disney’s growing list of upcoming live-action projects, including Moiana, Hercules, Lilo & Stitch and Bambi, as well as sequels to The Lion King, Aladdin and the recently released Cruella.
