“The Super Mario Bros. movie is the first movie that Nintendo was directly involved in producing,” Miyamoto said in the video. “We are very happy that so many people around the world saw this film. Thank you all. We hope you continue to cheer for Mario’s team.”
Additionally, Illumination’s Chris Meledandri expressed his appreciation for the overwhelming response the studio’s latest animated film has received. It is currently the highest-grossing film of 2023 with worldwide box office grossing in excess of $1.3 billion.

Who is the voice actress?
The film featured the voices of its star cast, including Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong and Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong , Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (Teen Titans Go!) are directing from a script by Minions: The Rise of Gru author Matthew Fogel. It was produced by Chris Meledandri for Illumination and Shigeru Miyamoto for Nintendo.
