This film stars Zendaya, Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist. “After a losing streak, the wife and coach of a Grand Slam champion signs him up for the Challenger event where he will face off against her former lover,” reads the official synopsis.

MGM recently announced that the film, originally scheduled to premiere at the Venice Film Festival and hit theaters on September 15, 2024, has been delayed. This move is partly due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA actors’ strike, which will see actors unable to visit the red carpets to promote their films.

The film is slated to hit theaters now April 26, 2024.

Directed by Luca Guadagnino, who has directed films such as Call Me By Your Name, Suspiria and most recently Bones and All. It was written by Justin Kuritzkes. The film is being produced by Zendaya and Guadagnino along with Rachel O’Connor and Amy Pascal, both of whom previously worked with Zendaya on the three MCU Spider-Man films.
