Beginning Tuesday, July 4th, Prime Video subscribers can watch 80 For Brady, a hilarious comedy that premiered earlier this year. Directed by Kyle Marvin from a screenplay by Sarah Haskins and Emily Halpern, the film tells the real-life story of a group of friends and their journey to watch their idol, Tom Brady, compete at Super Bowl LI 2017. 80 For Brady is led by an all-star cast consisting of Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno and Sally Field. They will be joined by seven-time Super Bowl champion and producer Brady. The cast also includes Sara Gilbert, Harry Hamlin, Billy Porter, Glynn Turman, Bob Balaban, Ron Funches, Jimmy O. Yang and more. The film grossed approximately $40 million during its theatrical run on a production budget of $28 million.
On Friday, July 7th, the Amazon-owned streamer will release the dark comedy thriller series The Horror of Dolores Roach. Based on the Spotify podcast of the same name, the upcoming show will explore multiple themes including love, betrayal, weed, cannibalism and survival of the fittest. The show follows Dolores Roach’s attempt to get her life back on track after serving a wrongful 16-year sentence.
The cast includes Justina Machado, Alejandro Hernandez, Kita Updike and K. Todd Freeman. The writer and writer of the original podcast, Aaron Mark, is the writer and executive producer of the upcoming series, for which he will also serve as showrunner. Executive Producers are Dara Resnik, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Jason Blum, Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gold, Chris Dickie, Dawn Ostroff, Mimi O’Donnell, Justin McGoldrick, Gloria Calderón Kellett and Roxann Dawson.
