Primal Season 3 Extension Confirmed for Adult Swim Show

Swimming for adults has confirmed production of Genndy Tartakovsky’s adult animated action thriller Originally Season 3 has officially started. The renewal comes after the critically acclaimed series wrapped its 10-episode second season last September. It’s currently unclear when Season 3 will debut.

“It’s happening right now! ‘Primal’ has become a contagious disease that I never wish to cure,” Tartakovsky said in a statement. “Each episode emanates like an unstoppable force that is beyond my control. Get ready, ‘Primal ‘ fans because Season 3 is upon us!”

What is Primal about?

“Primal” is created and executive produced by Genndy Tartakovsky (Dexter’s Laboratory, Samurai Jack). It features the voices of Aaron LaPlante as Spear, Laëtitia Eïdo as Mira, Jacob Dudman as Charles, and Jeremy Crutchley as Darlington. The creative team includes art director Scott Wills and sound effects designer Joel Valentine, as well as composers Tyler Bates and Joanne Higginbottom.

“Follows the story of Spear, a caveman at the beginning of evolution who forms an unlikely friendship with Fang, a near-extinct dinosaur,” reads the log line. “Filled with suspense, heartbreak, excitement, love and fear, with almost no dialogue, the series is a come-to-life painting that relies solely on music and graphic imagery to tell the story of two unlikely allies as they navigate a treacherous world . Having bonded over unfortunate tragedy, they seem like each other’s only chance of survival.”
