In a recent interview with TheWrap, performed before the SAG-AFTRA strike, gave Macfarlane an overview of the future of comedy. “There was definitely discussion,” he said of a potential renewal for season two. “I don’t know all the details, but we hope it works.”

The Bros. star also shared what he would like to see if Platonic season 2 took place: “I wish Charlie would spend a little more time with Will (Seth Rogen) to try and get him to understand a little better.” Macfarlane also mentioned that he would like to see more of the friendship between Sylvia (Rose Byrne) and Katie (Carla Gallo).

Who Else is in Platonic?

“Platonic” was co-created, directed, and written by Nick Stoller (who previously directed Rogen and Byrne in the Neighbors films) and Francesca Delbanco, and produced by Sony Pictures Television. Byrne, Rogen, Stoller, Delbanco and Conor Welch are executive producers.
