According to a new report by TMZDavidson was indicted by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on Friday. He was once accused of reckless driving in the incident, which happened about three months ago. Davidson and his girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders were involved in the accident, which took place on March 4, 2023 at approximately 8:00 p.m. PST.
It is not known how Davidson lost control of the car. TMZ notes that the vehicle jumped the curb and destroyed a fire hydrant before crashing into the side of a house. Fortunately, no one was injured and no arrests were made.
The homeowner says his 16-year-old daughter was “a little traumatized” by the incident. However, he harbors no ill will toward the actor.
In a statement to TMZ, prosecutors said they take all allegations of reckless driving “seriously” and hold individuals responsible for the incidents. A reckless driving charge can carry up to 90 days in prison, a $1,000 fine and points on your driver’s license.
“Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in this collision,” the statement said. “We know that reckless driving can have devastating consequences. In 2022, Los Angeles traffic fatalities hit their highest level in 20 years. This is an alarming trend that we cannot ignore. It is therefore vital that we take all allegations of reckless driving seriously and hold those responsible accountable.”
