diversity reports that Paramount+ will launch with Showtime on June 27th. The standalone Showtime app will be closing by the end of this year to reflect this decision, making the merged Paramount+ with Showtime the ideal way to watch Showtime content.
The price for Paramount+ with Showtime is $11.99 – $2 more than the current Premium plan. Meanwhile, Paramount+ is $5.99 without Showtime.
“This summer, Paramount+ officially becomes the streaming home of Showtime, further expanding our leadership position as the comprehensive home delivery service,” said Tom Ryan, president and CEO of Paramount Streaming, in a statement. “By integrating the world-class and critically acclaimed Showtime portfolio with the service’s already broad and popular offering, and all at a competitive price, we will solidify Paramount+ as a cornerstone in the streaming space.”
The move was first announced in January, although few details were given at the time on price or anything other than a basic release window.
