Starz posted this outlanders Season 7 trailer for the penultimate installment in the hit historical fantasy drama starring Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe. The video gives fans a glimpse of the action-packed season as the Fraser family confronts the aftermath of the American Evolution. The return of the series is scheduled for June 16th.
“In Season 7, Jamie, Claire and their family find themselves caught in the throes of a burgeoning country as armies go to war and British institutions collapse in the face of armed rebellion,” reads the synopsis. “The country the Frasers call home is changing – and they must change with it. To protect what they have built, the Frasers must navigate the perils of the Revolutionary War. They learn that sometimes you have to leave what you love behind in order to defend it. As conflict pulls them out of North Carolina and into the heart of the independence struggle, Jamie, Claire, Brianna and Roger face impossible choices that have the potential to tear their family apart.

Outlander ends with Season 8
Before the seventh season premiered, Outlander was already renewed for the eighth and final season. Starz also has a series commission for the Outlander prequel titled Outlander: Blood of My Blood, which is about the love story of Jamie’s parents, Brian Fraser and Ellen Mackenzie.
Based on Diana Gabaldon’s bestselling ongoing novel series, Outlander begins with a 1945 20th-century military nurse traveling back in time to 1743, where she meets and falls in love with Highland warrior Jamie Fraser. It stars Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, Richard Rankin, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Duncan Lacroix, David Berry, César Domboy, Lauren Lyle, Colin McFarlane, Caitlin O’Ryan and more.
