Oppenheimer Video presents Christopher Nolan’s IMAX spectacle

When it hits theaters the film will compete head-to-head with Greta Gerwig’s live-action adaptation of Barbie, starring Margot Robbie. Oppenheimer will also debut in the same month as other high-profile projects including Insidious: The Red Door, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and Haunted Mansion.

Who is the star cast of Oppenheimer?

A star-studded cast led by Cillian Murphy stars in “Oppenheimer” as J. Robert Oppenheimer, known as the father of the atomic bomb. He is joined by Emily Blunt as Katherine Oppenheimer, Robert Downey Jr. as Lewis Strauss, Matt Damon as General Leslie Groves Jr., Florence Pugh as Jean Tatlock, Josh Hartnett as Ernest Lawrence, Benny Safdie as Edward Teller, and Michael Angarano as Robert Serber .

“Filmed at IMAX, the epic thriller introduces audiences to the breathtaking paradox of the mysterious man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it,” reads the log line

Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, the film is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin. The cast also includes Dane DeHaan, Jack Quaid, Dylan Arnold, David Krumholtz, Alden Ehrenreich and Matthew Modine.

Oppenheimer is distributed in cinemas worldwide by Universal Pictures. Nolan and Emma Thomas are co-producing with Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven via their Syncopy banner.
