Who is in the Oppenheimer film?
Oppenheimer is a thriller that takes the audience deep into the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it. Directed by Nolan’s longtime collaborator Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer, known as the father of the atomic bomb.
He is joined by a star cast consisting of Emily Blunt as Katherine Oppenheimer, Robert Downey Jr. as Lewis Strauss, Matt Damon as General Leslie Groves Jr., Florence Pugh as Jean Tatlock, Josh Hartnett as Ernest Lawrence and Benny Safdie as Edward Teller and Michael Angarano as Robert Serber. The cast also includes Gary Oldman, Dane DeHaan, Jack Quaid, Dylan Arnold, Josh Peck, David Krumholtz, Devon Bostick, Alden Ehrenreich and Matthew Modine.
Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, the film is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin. Nolan and Emma Thomas are co-producing with Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven via their Syncopy banner.
