A new One Piece Live Action Trailer was released for the Netflix adaptation of the massive manga and anime series by Eiichiro Oda.
What does the new One Piece live-action trailer reveal?
The new trailers give fans their first look at legendary early antagonist Arlong, the One Piece world’s greatest swordsman Mihawk, legendary pirate Gol D. Roger, and more. It also teases Zoro and Sanji’s classic antagonistic dynamic together, giving viewers a closer look at Red-Haired Shanks.

Oda also released a letter about the development of the live-action series, promising that “no compromises have been made with this show.” You can read the letter below:

Based on Eiichiro Oda’s cult manga of the same name, the story follows Monkey D. Luffy, who gains the power to turn his body into rubber after eating a “devil fruit”. In search of the legendary treasure “One Piece” he travels through a fantastic world of exotic islands and vast oceans.
Netflix’s One Piece series will star Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as Rorona Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji and Peter Gadiot as Shanks. The cast also includes Morgan Davies as Koby, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino as Alvida, Aidan Scott as Helmeppo, Jeff Ward as Buggy, McKinley Belcher III as Arlong, Vincent Regan as Garp, Alexander Maniatis as Klahadore, Steven Ward as Mihawk and Craig Fairbrass as Chef Zeff, Langley Kirkwood as Captain Morgan, Celeste Loots as Kaya and Chioma Umeala as Nojiko.
One Piece is a live-action series written and produced by Steven Maeda (The X-Files) and Matt Owens (Agents of SHIELD), with Maeda serving as showrunner. Executive Producers are Tomorrow Studios’ Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements (Snowpiercer, Cowboy Bebop) and original manga writer Eiichiro Oda. The series starts August 31 on Netflix.
