The last four episodes of NieR: Automata Anime – NieR:Automata Ver 1.1a – have been given a release date, ending the series’ extended hiatus.
When will the final four episodes of the NieR: Automata anime be released?
The Anime official website (above Anime News Network) has announced that the final four episodes of the series will air in Japan on Sunday, July 23 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX, BS11 and Tochigi TV, followed by Gunma TV later that evening.
The NieR: Automata anime first debuted in January but has faced delays due to COVID-19. The final episode was released in March, creating a significant gap between the release of the eighth and ninth episodes.
The game NieR: Automata was first released in 2017 and was created by PlatinumGames. It tells the story of the battle android 2B navigating a desolate world on behalf of YoRHa. When the game launched, it received critical acclaim from fans and critics alike. Many praised it for its ability to offer different gameplay formats while incorporating an emotional story.
