“The hilarious and unapologetically explicit tale of identity and self-discovery follows four unlikely friends as they embark on a once-in-a-lifetime international adventure,” reads the synopsis. “When Audrey’s business trip to Asia goes awry, she enlists the help of Lolo, her irreverent childhood best friend who also happens to be a hot mess; Kat, her college friend, became a Chinese soap star; and Deadeye, Lolo’s eccentric cousin. Their uncompromisingly epic experience evolves into a journey of bonding, friendship, belonging and wild debauchery that reveals the universal truth of what it means to know and love who you are.”

Joy Ride is the debut feature film from Crazy Rich Asians author Adele Lim. The film stars Ashley Park (Girls5eva), Sherry Cola (Good Trouble), Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once), Sabrina Wu (Doogie Kameāloha, MD) , Ronny Chieng (Shang-Chi) and Lori Tan Chinn (Awkwafina is Nora). From Queens), David Denman (Greenland), Annie Mumolo (Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar), Desmond Chiam (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), Alexander Hodge (Insecure) and Chris Pang (Crazy Rich Asians).
