Accordingly world of roleHarvey (Family Feud) is the latest name to be added to a star-studded cast that reportedly includes Adam Sandler, Ben Affleck and Megan Thee Stallion.

What can you expect from the new Safdie Brothers movie?

World of Reel also features plot details for the mysterious project centered around the world of sports memorabilia. “In the world of high-end sports card collecting in the 1990s, a retired baseball pitcher (Affleck) seeks a comeback while a sports memorabilia agent (Sandler) seeks to capitalize on his success,” reads the Plot Details. “Megan Thee Stallion is set to play Affleck’s girlfriend.”

Josh and Benny Safdie will write, produce and direct the untitled film, starring Sandler. The report said the goal was to start production in July and wrap up filming around September. The film is in development at Netflix.

The film reunites the Safdie Brothers with Sandler, who previously worked on 2019’s Uncut Gems, which was named one of the top ten films of 2019 by the National Board of Review. The Safdie Brothers won Best Director and Sandler won Best Male Lead at the 2020 Independent Spirit Awards for their work on Uncut Gems.

This new project continues a series of Sandler projects set in the world of sports. After starring as a sports bettor in Uncut Gems, Sandler starred in 2022’s Hustle as an NBA scout. The veteran actor received positive reviews for his performance, which led to a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination.

The Safdie Brothers haven’t made a movie since Uncut Gems. However, the duo are working on Showtime’s ‘The Curse,’ an upcoming comedy television series starring Nathan Fielder and Emma Stone about a troubled HGTV show. Benny co-created the show with Fielder and will star in the project, while Josh will serve as executive producer.
