Nathan Lane is not returning due to Only Murders in the Building season 3

Nathan Lane will not reprise his role as Teddy Dimas in Only murders in the building Season 3. The actor revealed it meeting that he would not be available to work on the Hulu comedy due to a scheduling conflict.

Lane appeared in seven episodes of Only Murders in the Building during the first two seasons. Dimas was originally introduced as a longtime friend of Oliver (Martin Short), who agrees to sponsor the central trio’s podcast. He won an Emmy for his performance and was recently nominated for another.

What you should know about Only Murders in the Building Season 3

The popular comedy returns to Hulu on August 8th. Though plot details are being kept secret, the story will likely revolve around the apparent murder of Ben (Paul Rudd), which served as the cliffhanger at the end of season two.

In addition to Rudd, upcoming episodes will guest-star like Jesse Williams, Ashley Park and Meryl Streep. The series stars Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez. All three will be back in their lead roles.

Only Murders in the Building was co-created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. Executive producers are Martin, Hoffman, Short, Gomez, Jamie Babbitt, Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal.
