The new Marvel animated film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was a huge hit with critics and audiences alike. This is the sequel to the 2018 movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. There were many Spider-Man variants in both movies, including the new movie with about 280 variants of the web-slinging superhero.
On an episode of the Crew Call with Anthony D’Alessandro podcast, writers/producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller confirmed that we would be seeing variants of Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman. “Currently yes,” Lord replied, and Miller confirmed. “Currently yes. I would say so, yes.” “It’s on the page,” continued Lord and Miller. “It’s… I think that… these things evolve over time.”
“But it’s kind of an integral part of the storyline, I would say,” Miller added of including multiple Gwen Stacy variants in the third Spider-Verse film.
