meeting brings news that bodybuilder and actor Martyn Ford (F9) and Damon Herriman have been selected by Mindhunter to play the respective roles of Outworld Emperor Shao Kahn and Netherrealm Demon Quan Chi. Desmond Chiam (“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”) and Ana Thu Nguyen (“Get Free”) were also cast to play the roles of Edenian King Jerrod and Queen Sindel.

Mortal Kombat 2 will once again be directed by Simon McQuoid from a screenplay by Moon Knight executive writer Jeremy Slater. The sequel returns Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, and Joe Taslim as Bi- Han and Sub-Zero, Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi and Scorpion and Max Huang as Kung Lao.

In addition to the four new cast members, the action sequel also introduces The Boys star Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, Adeline Rudolph (Resident Evil) as Kitana and Tati Gabrielle (You) as Jade. The latter two previously worked together on the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, in which they played each other’s adoptive sisters.

Further details about the plot of the next part are still being kept secret. It is produced by James Wan, Michael Clear, Todd Garner and E. Bennet Walsh.
