Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One was written by Christopher McQuarrie and Erik Jendresen. It stars Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Mariela Garriga, Henry Czerny, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Charles Parnell, Frederick Schmidt, Cary Elwes and Mark Gatiss, Indira Varma, and Rob Delaney. Part One and Part Two will be released on July 12, 2023 and June 28, 2024 respectively.

The Mission: Impossible franchise spans almost 25 years and six films. The first two films were modest critical and box office successes before the main protagonist told darker and more explosive stories, with each film receiving progressively better reviews than its predecessor. The most recent installment, Fallout, received the highest reviews for both the franchise and the action genre. It currently has a 97% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes and is also the franchise’s highest-grossing worldwide at over $790 million.
