The video shows a wounded veteran struggling to get over a traumatic experience during his recent tour. With the help of an elderly veteran, he finds something to live for. The film hits theaters on June 9th.

What is Mending the Line about?

“In the film, John Cotler, a wounded veteran, returns to the States still stricken with the demons of war, haunted by everyday expectations of friendships and love interests,” reads the synopsis. “In Livingston, Montana, he meets Ike, a grumpy, wayward fly fisherman more than twice his age, and Lucy, a talented photographer-turned-librarian who reads to veterans, both fighting in their own ways. While Colter is getting his physical and psychological wounds treated, he just wants to come back to have something to die for. But the real challenge is finding something to live for.”

“Mending the Line” is directed by Joshua Caldwell from a screenplay by Stephen Camelio. Starring Brian Cox (Good omens), Sinqua Walls (White men can’t jump, The Blackening), Perry Mattfeld (In the dark), Chris Galust, (give me freedom), with Patricia Heaton (Everyone loves Raymond) and Wes Studi (A million ways to die in the west).

The film is produced by Kelly McKendry, Scott MacLeod, Carl Effenson, Joshua Caldwell and Stephen Camelio.
