When is Lift coming to Netflix?
The release was originally planned for August 2023 Elevator The release date has been officially pushed back to next year and is now set to make its Netflix debut on January 12, 2024.
This is Hart’s most recent collaboration with the streamer, having worked together on such films as comedy Fatherhood and buddy comedy Me Time, as well as variety special Kevin Hart’s Guide to Black History. Mbatha-Raw also previously starred in the popular San Junipero episode of the Netflix series Black Mirror.
Directed by F. Gary Gray from a screenplay by Daniel Kunka and Jeremy Donner. Hart and Mbatha-Raw in Lift are joined by Vincent D’Onofrio, Billy Magnussen, Úrsula Corberó, Kim Yoon-ji, Viveik Kalra, Paul Anderson, Sam Worthington, Jacob Batalon, Jean Reno and Burn Gorman.
It is described as an action film about an international heist team recruited to stop a mid-flight terrorist attack. Hart plays the master thief who gets involved in the robbery after being convinced by his ex-girlfriend.
Elevator is produced by Gray, Brent O’Connor and Patricia Braga as Executive Producers, with Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon serving as producers for Genre Pictures, Matt Reeves and Adam Kassan for 6th & Idaho, and Hart and Brian Smiley for HartBeat Productions.
