As the trial against Kevin Spacey In the UK, the actor has been compared to his serial killer character in Se7en by an alleged victim.
According to the court of diversityIn a pre-recorded police interview, an unidentified man detailed the allegations Spacey had leveled against him. In the interview, which took place in court in London, the accused accused Spacey of groping him “a good dozen times”, including touching the inner thighs and genitals above his clothing.
“His character in ‘Se7en’ is a bit like that. A little creepy. Maybe not quite so bad,” the man said, referencing Spacey’s iconic role as a serial killer who kills based on the seven deadly sins.
The man went on to describe other encounters with Spacey, including a particular car ride where Spacey tried to grab him so suddenly that he nearly crashed into the car he was driving.
“His hand hit me pretty hard on the inner thigh and then moved up, a real bang that basically hit me right in the balls,” the alleged victim said in the pre-recorded video. “It took my breath away.”
According to the man, he initially did not report because he was ashamed and afraid of professional consequences.
What does Kevin Spacey expect in court?
Spacey faces a total of 12 charges, including sexual assault and indecent assault, with various charges allegedly being filed between 2001 and 2013.
While Spacey has denied all allegations, he also said the allegations made him believe people were “scared” to support him.
Last year, a New York jury concluded that Spacey did not sexually assault actor Antony Rapp, who first took action against Spacey in 2017. Spacey says the results in London should be similar to those in New York.
“The moment you look closely at them, these things fall apart,” Spacey said. “That’s what happened in the Rapp trial, and it’s going to happen in this case too.”
Spacey’s career, once celebrated as a legendary actor, came to an abrupt halt in 2017 when he was accused of making sexual advances on then 14-year-old Anthony Rapp (who appeared in a Broadway show with Spacey) in 1986. Further allegations came in. This led to Netflix breaking off from working with Spacey on their planned film Gore and removing it from the final season of the series House of Cards.
