Kevin Spacey’s latest court case opened this week

In a report on the trial of meetingSpacey has again been accused of sexual assault by various actors, with prosecutor Christine Agnew KC noting that Spacey previously “aggressively grabbed other men’s crotches,” among a host of other acts.

Spacey faces a total of 12 charges, including sexual assault and indecent assault, with various charges allegedly being filed between 2001 and 2013.

“None of the men wanted to be touched sexually by Kevin Spacey Fowler, but he didn’t seem particularly concerned with their feelings,” Agnew said in her opening statements. “He did what he wanted to do for his personal sexual gratification. What is the defendant’s response to these allegations? Well, with regard to some, he suggests that they are simply made up. In relation to others, he accepts that there was a sexual encounter between himself and the other man, but insists that whatever happened happened with the other man’s consent.”

While Spacey has denied all allegations, he also said the allegations made him believe people were “scared” to support him.

Last year, a New York jury concluded that Spacey did not sexually assault actor Antony Rapp, who first took action against Spacey in 2017. Spacey says the results in London should be similar to those in New York.

“The moment you look closely at them, these things fall apart,” Spacey said. “That’s what happened in the Rapp trial, and it’s going to happen in this case too.”

Spacey’s career, once celebrated as a legendary actor, came to an abrupt end in 2017 when he was accused of making sexual advances on then 14-year-old Anthony Rapp (an actor who appeared in a Broadway show with Spacey) in 1986. Allegations followed, leading to Netflix cutting off Spacey’s planned film Gore and removing it from the final season of House of Cards.
