Stahelski began as a stuntman for Brandon Lee on The Crow before stunting as Keanu Reeves’ stunt double on The Matrix. He then went on to direct the actor in the John Wick series, which has gone on to become one of the highest-grossing action film franchises of all time.

With the recent proliferation of incredible, death-defying stunts in film franchises like John Wick, Mission: Impossible, and Extraction, many are hoping the Academy will host a best stunt category at the Oscars. Stahelski was hoping for the same.

“For the past few months we’ve been meeting with members of the academy and actually having these conversations, and to be honest it’s just been incredibly positive and incredibly educational,” Chahelski said comic movie.

“I think for the first time we’ve made real progress towards achieving this. I think that could happen at the next Oscars, or at least the next one, or at least in the next three or four years. I think there are a lot of working parts, but if you say so, I’ll also ask you a question. – “Okay, so I’m the academy, you came to me and said we should have stunts at the Oscars and I say I agree with you.” Great. how do we do it How do we choose the best stunt?
