Mangold’s filmography includes a wide variety of films. From superhero movies like Logan to biographical dramas like Ford vs Ferrari, there doesn’t seem to be a genre he doesn’t master. His next film is Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, which he is directing with Lucasfilm. However, he was once in talks to contribute to another Lucasfilm IP.
chard has “More than flirted” with the idea of making a Star Wars film about Boba Fett. This would have been a one-off spaghetti western in the style of Sergio Leone’s filmography. However, the idea was later adapted into the Disney+ series The Book of Boba Fett.
He also introduced a film similar to The Ten Commandments that would deal with the dawn of power. “For fans, it’s basically a kind of religion. What does it mean to have found that power and not even understand what it is?”
What’s the next Star Wars project?
The next Star Wars project is Ahsoka, a Disney+ miniseries that will consist of eight episodes. The premiere will take place on August 23, 2023.
