When is the Imaginary movie coming out?
The film is slated to hit theaters on February 2, 2024. With the release date of “Imaginary,” he’s going head-to-head with Warner Bros. Robert De Niro led the mob film Wise Guys. It’s also slated to debut in the same month, alongside other high-profile feature films including the untitled Fast & Furious 11 and Sony Pictures’ live-action film Madame Web.
“In the film, a young woman returns to her childhood home to find that the imaginary friend she left behind is very real and very unhappy that she left him,” reads the synopsis.
Jeff Wadlow is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Greg Erb and Jason Oremland. Wadlow is no stranger to horror, having previously written 2005’s Cry Wolf, starring Jon Bon Jovi, Truth or Dare, starring Lucy Hale, 2020’s Fantasy Island, starring Michael Pena, and 2022’s The Curse of Bridge Hollow” with Marlon Wayans.
The project is being produced by Jason Blum and Jeff Wadlow, with Ryan Turek serving as executive producer. It’s a Blumhouse production. Further casting details are still under wraps.
