Amazon Studios released the official I am a virgin Trailer for the latest coming-of-age comedy, starring Emmy-winner Jharrel Jerome as a 13-foot teenager named Cootie. The video shows Cootie trying to navigate a world not made for people his size. The series will be available to stream on Prime Video on June 23 with seven episodes.

What is “I am a Virgo” about?
The series is a darkly comedic, fantastical coming-of-age jaunt about Cootie, a 13-foot-tall young black man in Oakland, California. After growing up in obscurity and spending time on a diet of comics and TV shows, he escapes to experience the beauty and contradictions of the real world.” “He makes friends, finds love, navigates awkward situations, and meets his idol, the real-life superhero named The Hero. “I’m A Virgo” is a mythical odyssey that challenges the purpose of the mythical odyssey.”
I’m a Virgo was created and written by Sorry to Bother You filmmaker Boots Riley, who also served as director and executive producer. The When They See Us breakout features Walton Goggins, Brett Gray, Kara Young, Allius Barnes, Olivia Washington, Mike Epps and Carmen Ejogo.
Riley also co-hosts the series with Tze Chun. Executive Producers are Jerome, Chun, Rebecca Rivo, and Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer for Media Res Studio. It will feature original music and score by art-pop duo Tune-Yards.
