What will Hideo Kojima do for the Death Stranding movie?
In a recent tweet, Kojima announced that he would be “heavily involved in the production, supervision, storyline, look, design and content” of the upcoming film. However, he will not lead the project. This came after Kojima also announced that he would have an oversight role on the film.
It’s currently unclear who will write or direct the project. At the time of the announcement last year, it was reported that the film would introduce new ideas and characters to the world of Death Stranding. In previous interviews about the project, Kojima has also confirmed that the film will have more of an “art house” feel.
Originally released in 2020, Death Stranding starred Norman Reedus as Sam Porter Bridges, a courier tasked with delivering supplies to isolated colonies around the world. Also attending the game were Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, Margaret Qualley, Troy Baker, Tommie Earl Jenkins and Lindsay Wagner.
