The photos also show a new look at the returning cast, including Sebastian Croft’s Ben Hope and Yasmin Finney’s Elle. Season 2 will stream on August 3 with eight new episodes.
What can you expect in Heartstopper Season 2?
“In Season 2, Nick and Charlie come to terms with their new relationship; Tara and Darcy face unforeseen challenges; Tao and Elle consider if they can ever be more than friends… There are also exams, a school trip to Paris and a prom coming up!” reads the log line.
“Heartstopper” is led by Kit Connor as Nick, Joe Locke as Charlie, Yasmin Finney as Elle Argent, Corinna Brown as Tara Jones, William Gao as Tao Xu, Kizzy Edgell as Darcy Olsson, and Tobie Donovan as Isaac Henderson, and more. Olivia Colman also returns as Nick’s mother next season.
Season 2 will also see new cast members Leila Khan as Sahar Zahid, Jack Barton as Nick’s older brother David Nelson, Bradley Riches as James McEwan and Nima Taleghani as Mr. Farouk, as well as Bel Priestley as Naomi, Ash Self as Felix and… Thibault de Montalembert as Nick’s father, Stephane.
Based on Alice Oseman’s graphic novel series of the same name, Heartstopper was written and created by Oseman, with Euros Lyn serving as director; The series is produced by See-Saw Films.
