How would Hailee Steinfeld play Spider-Woman in live action?
Steinfeld – who voices Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse – was also asked how she might play the character differently in live action.
“I generally thought you were going to make things bigger in animation, but in this film and with these characters, it’s really important to be grounded and real and feel authentic,” Steinfeld said. “There may have been a time when I felt the need to overcompensate because it wasn’t live action. It wasn’t me who did that. So I felt like I had to get bigger for you to feel it on the other end, but I realized very quickly that it wasn’t necessary. ”
Steinfeld said that while she might bring up the lines differently, they might have come from the same place.
“So would I recite the lines differently in live action? This is such an interesting thing. I imagine it would feel similar if they came from the same place, but with some physicality it would be inherently different,” Steinfeld said.
