‘Good Omens’ season 2 opening cover video revealed ahead of Prime Video’s return

Amazon Studios has discontinued that Good omens Season 2 opening cover video for the upcoming return of Neil Gaiman’s fantasy comedy starring Michael Sheen and David Tennant.

The video appears to be a foretaste of Aziraphale and Crowley’s latest adventure after successfully preventing Armageddon in Season 1. The next part will be available to stream on Prime Video on July 28th and will contain six new episodes.

What can you expect from Season 2 of Good Omens?

“Good Omens Season 2 will explore storylines that go beyond the original source material to shed light on the uncanny friendship between Aziraphale and Crowley,” reads the synopsis. “Aziraphale and Crowley have lived on Earth since the dawn of time, and after the apocalypse is foiled, Aziraphale and Crowley return to a relaxed life among mortals in London’s Soho when an unexpected messenger presents a surprising secret.”

Based on the 1990 novel by Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, the series stars Michael Sheen as the finicky angel and rare book dealer Aziraphale and David Tennant as the fast-paced demon Crowley. They are joined by returning cast members Jon Hamm, Doon Mackichan, Gloria Obianyo, Derek Jacobi, Liz Carr, Quelin Sepulveda, Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton, Reece Shearsmith, Niamh Walsh, Shelley Conn, Paul Adeyefa, Michael McKean, Miranda Richardson and Maggie Service , Reece Shearsmith and Nina Sosanya, some of whom will portray new characters.

Season 2 will also introduce new cast members Siân Phillips (Dune), Tim Downie (Outlander), Pete Firman (The Magicians), Andi Osho (I May Destroy You) and Alex Norton (Pirates of the Caribbean).

Good Omens is created and executive produced by Neil Gaiman, who will continue to serve as showrunner alongside director Douglas Mackinnon. Executive producers are Mackinnon, Rob Wilkins, John Finnemore and Josh Cole, with Finnemore co-writing season two with Gaiman.
