What is Napoleon about?

The upcoming film will hit theaters exclusively on November 22, 2023, before finally hitting Apple TV+ sometime later. Apple will work with Sony Pictures to distribute the film, in which Phoenix plays the infamous French emperor and military leader.

Napoleon is described as “an original and personal look at Napoleon’s origins and his rapid, reckless rise to emperor, viewed through the prism of his addictive and often volatile relationship with his wife and one true love, Josephine.” The film became Napoleon’s famous capture battles, his relentless ambition and amazing strategic mind as an exceptional military leader and wartime visionary.”

David Scarpa (“All the Money in the World”) is writing the 20th Century Studios project, which Scott and Kevin Walsh produced for Scott Free. Production of the film took place in early 2022.
