The video also continues to underscore the action sequences of the sequel’s next stage, including an intense car chase scene. Extraction 2 would also be Elba’s second Netflix film this year, having recently appeared in Luther: The Fallen Sun.

Who is the cast of Extraction 2?
Extraction 2 will once again be directed by Sam Hargrave from a script by recurring screenwriter Joe Russo. The main roles are played by Hemsworth, Golshifteh Farahani, Tornike Gogrichiani, Adam Bessa, Daniel Bernhardt, Tinatin Dalakishvili and Olga Kurylenko. Like the 2020 film, it is also being produced by Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo via their AGBO banner, along with Hemsworth.
“Having narrowly survived the events of the first film, Rake is back as an Australian black ops mercenary tasked with yet another deadly mission: rescuing the abused family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they are being held be,” says the synopsis.
Set in an underworld of arms dealers and dealers, the original film follows a young boy who becomes a pawn in a war between notorious drug lords. It was received positively and critics praised its action sequences. In the first month of its release, it was the most-watched film on Netflix, reaching 90 million homes.
